Continuing research into the causes of acne has brought to the forefront information related to diet and acne. There is new evidence that confirm the old wives tale of dairy and acne breakouts. Recent science now believes it is possible that milk, and dairy products in general, can contribute to acne breakouts

While not a new theory, there is increasing evidence that dairy products may contribute to acne outbreaks in teens and adults. While leading dermatologists disagree over whether or not fats in our diet contribute to acne, and in this case, the fats contained in milk and other dairy products, they all overwhelmingly agree that hormonal imbalance is the main cause of acne. Consuming dairy products means ingesting the hormones produced by the cow during milk production.

Click Here For Acne Cure Naturally Instant Access!

Approximately 80% of all acne sufferers in the United States are teenagers. This is because during the pubescent years, an overload of hormones floods the system, particularly the hormone 5 alpha dihydrotestosterone (DHT).

This hormone is known to be the primary trigger, in both males and females, for the release of fatty secretions from the sebaceous glands. These secretions combine with bacteria and other contaminants, clogging the pores and setting the stage for an acne outbreak. This hormonal imbalance is also prevalent in women as part of their menstrual cycle, causing monthly acne breakouts.

The theory of dairy products contribution to acne outbreaks was put to the test in the 1960s by a dermatologist from Pasadena, California, named Dr. Jerome Fisher. Doctor Fisher studied the dietary history of over 1000 acne patients from the Pasadena area and observed that the patients who suffered most from acne outbreaks consumed greater amounts of milk and dairy products than those who did not.

Dr. Fisher then began a ten year study of teen-age acne sufferers, again noting a correlation between milk intake and acne. His findings were reported to the American Dermatological Association (ADA), stating that as milk consumption decreased, so did acne outbreaks.

Click Here For Acne Cure Naturally Instant Access!

It is also believed that dairy products may contain excessive levels of iodine. Iodine has the potential to irritate the pores and can enter the blood system through milk supplies containing iodine. While iodine is not naturally present in milk, it is believed that it enters the milk through contaminated milking equipment and some medications that are administered to cows. Research performed at various dairy farms throughout the Midwest confirmed the assumption.

It is also possible that diary has a bigger effect on acne in women, or teens, than on men or adults in general. Though there has been no scientific evidence to confirm this, many of the dairy and acne studies conducted recently involved young women who drank both regular milk and skim milk. So, the jury is still out with regards to just who can contribute an acne breakout to a bowl of cereal in the morning.

The easiest way to determine if dairy products are contributing to your acne outbreaks is to refrain from consuming dairy related products such as milk, cheese, yogurt, butter, and cream. If abstaining from these products reduces the occurrence of acne outbreaks, diet modification should be considered to help control future instances of acne.

If you’re at all interested in becoming a fellow Greenie or you already are an official Greenie, Worm Farms are one of the most fantastic things to look into! Worms are often used in a process called vermicomposting which allows worms to recycle things such as newspapers, vegetable waste, cardboard, coffee and even egg shells. This process is a really unique one in the fact that the worms spend their entire lives eating the “trash” you give them and it’s not expensive at all! In fact buying the worms and all the materials to build a do it yourself worm farm costs little to nothing and you will be helping mother nature out!

After the worms eat the trash, what’s left is something called “casings” which is used as the safest source for fertilizer. Another really valuable product that is produced is something called leachate.

Worm Farms can be either bought at stores from $50-$150 or you could make one on your own which is also very cheap and really easy! Here are the following items you will need to make your very own worm farm from scratch!

- A plastic tub with a lid
- A pan for leachate runoff
- Spacers to place between the tub and the catchment pan

That’s about it! All you need to do after gathering those items is to drill several holes into the tub; this allows air to circulate and the holes on the bottom allow for draining. The above steps are known as the production of a home made Worm Bed. Here’s a tip I found on a website. If your worms are trying to escape from the tub then this merely means that something is wrong with your farm because worms don’t necessarily like the light. So, this could mean your farm is either too dry, too damp or too acidic. Here are some other tips as well:

- Place a thin layer of pebbles on the bottom of the tub to help with the draining
- Add a few layers of damp newspaper
- Add waste when it becomes available
- Don’t use garden worms it wont work the same way
- Never add dairy to the farm
- Dampen paper and cardboard before adding
- Keep the farm in a shady place

If you are looking for the official Worm Farm website, there isn’t one. However, here are a few that are pretty close:

Vermiculture
Wikipedia
Worm Poop
Happy D Ranch

Since ED is such a taboo subject with men , I decided that this article needs to be written to get the information out there so more men, especially farmers, can be helped.

My husband, David, was a dairy farmer since his youth. In an incident in the fall of 1991, however, he was exposed to black corn mold from corn silage in a silo. He hadn’t been wearing a mask and inhaled and/or ingested a large amount of it. He came down from the silo coughing and delirious. This started his journey of degenerative health and the bumpy road in our relationship.

Along with years of a string of diagnoses of Farmer’s Lung, severe sleep apnea, arthritis and hypertension, David also ended up with ED. These conditions also started the revolving door to medical facilities for tests, treatments and prognosis. The prognosis was the same for all of them. They can’t be cured. You’ll just have to live with it and we’ll try to manage the symptoms.

Well, one of the things I started to research in trying to get answers that satisfied us was the connection between mold and ED.

In doing an internet search of causes of ED, I came up with a number of physical and psychological causes including:

* Heart disease
* Clogged blood vessels (atherosclerosis)
* High blood pressure
* Diabetes
* Obesity
* Metabolic syndrome
* Certain prescription medications
* Tobacco use
* Alcoholism and other forms of drug abuse
* Treatments for prostate cancer
* Parkinson’s disease
* Multiple sclerosis
* Hormonal disorders such as low testosterone (hypogonadism)
* Peyronie’s disease
* Surgeries or injuries that affect the pelvic area or spinal cord
* Depression
* Anxiety
* Stress
* Fatigue
* Poor communication or conflict with your partner

But nothing about mold. I started to specifically research corn molds and their effect on humans. Not much information exists on that subject. But the animal husbandry industry has a lot of information on how the derivatives of mold, mycotoxins, effect animals.

A mycotoxin (from Greek (mykes, mukos) "fungus" and Latin (toxicum) "poison") is a toxic secondary metabolite produced by an organism of the fungus kingdom, including mushrooms, molds, and yeasts.

Some of the health effects found in animals and humans include death, identifiable diseases or health problems, weakened immune systems without specificity to a toxin, and as allergens or irritants. Some mycotoxins are harmful to other micro-organisms such as other fungi or even bacteria; penicillin is one example. (1)

In my search I came across a mold mycotoxin called zearalenone.

Zearalenone has been shown to occur in almost every agricultural product and a variety of food-grade grains and foods have been found to contain this mycotoxin including corn and corn products, breakfast cereals, corn beer, wheat flour, bread and walnuts and in animal feed products. The presence of zearalenone in whole plants and parts of maize used for silage making was investigated in Germany during 1989-1990 and zearalenone was detected at concentrations up to 300 µg/kg mainly accumulating at the end of the ripening process, with subsequent contamination of the silage. (2)

Zearalenone is an estrogenic mycotoxin. Studies in various species (rodents, rabbits, pigs, monkeys) including man have shown that zearalenone has estrogenic and anabolic activity. Its major effects are on reproduction, including reproductive organs and their function, leading to hyperestrogenism. (3)

As you can guess, men with excessive estrogen or hyperestrogenism start showing female characteristics. They have a low testosterone level and show symptoms including swollen or tender breasts, loss of body and pubic hair, shrinking testes, heightloss, reduced sexual desire, infertility, thinning bones, a decrease in spontanious erections, reduced muscle mass and strength, hot flashes and sweating. There also can be lack of motivation, lower self-confidence and self esteem, decreased energy, problems with memory and poor concentration.

David was treated with testosterone replacement therapy to no avail because the treatment was not addressing the cause. The treatments for all of his conditions were not addressing the cause, the MOLD and mycotoxin in his system.

Still praying, still searching, the Lord lead me to find a book by Doug Kaufmann called "The Fungus Link" in 2002. I had strongly suspected fungus or mold to be the cause but medical professionals were not addressing it.

After following the antifungal protocol in "The Fungus Link" the (ED) symptoms are gone. Now, all symptoms from the corn mold incident are gone!

Was it worth the effort? Absolutely!! David is on no medication or treatments and has none of his previous symptoms.
