Day to day, we discover food just isn’t what it used to be. In this new age, food is needed in large quantities and fast, which causes the food industry to use not-so-healthy methods of preserving food and minimizing their losses.

A clear example of this is dairy products. Have you ever tasted fresh milk from a cow? If so, you probably noticed two things:

First, that it had a sweet, pleasant taste and second, that you were able to digest it much better. This is due to several factors. It is important to keep in mind that in these modern times milk cows are no longer fed grass, but a special blend which includes (amongst other things) cement mixture and the remains of other cows. Additionally, most of these cows are born, raised and die in indoor farms where they rarely see the light of day, much less graze around a field.

If that wasn’t bad enough, these cows are frequently injected with antibiotics and hormones to keep them producing lots of milk. And you’re drinking those hormones in your daily glass of milk!

But things get worse:

Once manufacturers have this milk, it undergoes a process called Pasteurization in which they boil it at high temperatures to kill off any harmful bacteria. Unfortunately this also kills the good bacteria our body needs for digestion and a better immune system, and eliminates an enzyme called Lactase which is in charge of helping our stomach digest the milk. And there you have the main reason so many people have ‘lactose intolerance’.

In short, dairy products like yogurt, milk and cheese play a key role in our nutrition and I can’t stress how important it is that you look for products free of hormones and antibiotics!

By this i mean a place with farm animals on it, that sells cow/or goat milk, cheese, sour cream, cottage cheese, or eggs?
A different example of this would be like a fruit farm.

I live in Shelby twp. MI 48316
I would like to find a place close to Macomb county, but i can travel.
