If you’re thinking about going organic there are a few things which you might want to look into first. And one of the most important aspects of trying to go organic is finding good organic food suppliers from whom you can get your organic foods. This includes not only organic fruits and vegetables, but also organic meat and poultry, organic dairy produce as well as organic processed foods.
All of these things come under the heading of organic foods, and when you’re looking to find organic food suppliers for your own needs, then you will have to take these into account as well. On the one hand, and depending on where you live, you have the option of going to the source to get your organic foods, but this will only work if you live in close proximity to organic farmers.
If you do live near an organically run farm, then you have will most likely not have a problem obtaining your organic produce and things. However, since an organic farm will only be able to produce a limited number of organically grown items, it does behoove you to find other organic food suppliers who will be able to look after your other organic needs.
If on the other hand you live in a big city which is miles away from the nearest organic farm, you will have to look around for your organic food suppliers. The best place for you to look would be your local food chain or supermarket, but it’s not guaranteed that these places will a) have organic foods to begin with; and b) whether they will have a wide range of organic products for you to choose from.
That said, your next option when looking at organic food suppliers is to locate your nearest health store, make certain that it sells organic foods items and go there for all your organic food needs.
This option however, comes with a few drawbacks, the largest one being the elevated price. Not all health food stores will be expensive, but to a very great extent many health food stores carry food items which are costly, and when you throw in the word “organic” into that mix, it just drives up the prices. Organic foods are costly enough without having to add health food store prices into it as well.
Another option for you to take, and this does seem to be your best option is to go through the many online organic food suppliers to get your organic food needs. Here you will find that you have a larger array of organic foods to choose from as well as a larger number of organic food suppliers to choose from.
Watch the video related to organic dairy
The University of Minnesota organic dairy program is taking big steps to help farmers turn over their herds to organic dairy farms. The West Central Research and Outreach Center is converting half its dairy herd to organic production. By carefully recording the process, it can help Minnesota farmers move more easily into this growing and profitable practice.
Help answer the question about organic dairy
Organic dairy vs. veganism: is one better?I just read this article that argues that the consumption of organic dairy products is comparable to going vegan. I find her argument to be less than convincing, especially since she goes on to say how nasty she thinks milk is. How can you know the animals are getting humane treatment? What do you think? http://www.vegetarianteen.com/articles/worthcompromising.shtml

2. ur pretty smart cause u know a lot!
OMFG, are you mentally handicapped? You can’t believe everything you read on the internet. If you want to know how cows are raised and treated, go to a freaking farm! I understand you are concerned for the safety and health of the animals, but do some research before getting self-righteous.
love organic food ads, and videos, would love employment just watching ads, and also videos, this is very good video very clear, crisp, learn alot from this video, keep up good work,
In theory, eggs and dairy labeled "organic" should be more humane for the animals, but in practice it's not necessarily true. A lot of "free-range" chickens have it marginally better than their battery-caged counterparts, but are still cooped up inside in overcrowded and unhealthy circumstances. Organic dairy cows are supposed to have access to pasture, but again, loopholes are badly abused by many "Big Organic" producers. Horizon is notorious for this, for example.
There's a good website that rates organic dairies based on their treatment of their animals: http://cornucopia.org/dairysurvey/
Unfortunately, I don't know of anything equivalent for chickens, but you could try the following resources to find a local producer of genuine free-range eggs:

To change to organic is fairly straight forward. You have to stop fertilizing your pastures, hay, and crops with chemical fertilizers and start using organic fertilizers like manure, organic composts, green manure crops, etc. You will have to stop using chemical pesticides on your crops and livestock. You can't use steroids and antibiotics on your cattle. Before you can call yourself truly organic is a little more difficult. If you are changing over from traditional farming, you will have to farm organically for a number of years before becoming organic. The time will vary from country to country and even state to state. You will need to find the regulations for organic farming in your local area.
Do you work for Monsanto or what?
Hey, we have organic cheetos where I live. I think I saw them at 7-11…you should find their website and see.
The name of the 2 stores would be "Fresh Market" and "Whole Foods." If you want to get them in bulk, contact their supplier.
By law 'free-range' animals must have access to the outside at least part of the day. How long that is is up to the famer. By law 'organic' means the animals are not fed chemicals or treated with hormones.
If you are concerned about whether your food is fully cruelty-free, join a co-op. Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) is a growing trend and available in most areas. Basically, you pay an area farmer a flat rate in the spring, and get back a portion of whatever he grows/raises over that year, usually on a weekly basis. It's a great deal, good for the environment, and you will know precisely what conditions your food is produced in. Do a search for a CSA in your area. Many have eggs and dairy products in addition to produce.
You are right- you should be skeptical. Organic doesn't guarantee the animals were humanely treated. The USDA rarely regualtes anything- and in the end you are just paying a higher price. Besides milk is for a calf!! Not a human.
If she had a craving for it- guess what- its because she has a drug addiction. Milk in cows and humans contain morphine! A very addictive drug that keeps a person coming back for more.
I get a lot of organic food info from the Organic Farming Research Foundation

First of all, you are being a rude prick. Next, what makes you think I know nothing about cattle, nor have never been on a fucking farm? No, I was not raised on a shitty dairy farm but I do know a thing or two about beef cattle. It’s not a tremendous leap to understand a dairy cow, even though raising beef on a cow/calf ranch is not the same as having a dairy.
These Cows look very tired and can barely walk their udders are too large! What is the wonderful part of Organics? My question would be this, how are these cows kept to lactate? are they artificially imprenated? becuase if they are, then its not Organic! Also, are the calfs after birth sold to veal farmers for meat? this also fundimental question, moral questions! Then after the cow can no longer give their milk are t hey sent to slaughter houses for to be made into meat? Wow what a life! Slaves
No organic dairy is called dairy because it is dairy. Dairy free means no cows milk is used in the product. Organic dairy products com from cow's that have been raised according to the USDA NOP and are allowed access to pasture and fed certified organic grains. organic milk and cheese still have lactose and if you have a problem digesting dairy it will be no different with organic milk, cheese, yogurt, etc..
… Antlers? I’m sorry, cows don’t grow antlers. You are thinking reindeer.
Just for future reference, cows can genetically be born without HORNS. Its called being “Polled”. The main reason farmers “dehorn” cows is because of safety reasons. Cows are known to be aggressive towards each other by butting their heads around. For a while, we didn’t dehorn our cows because we thought it was cruel, but it was BAD mistake because there were torn udders EVERYWHERE. Its hard to heal a torn udder.
Tillamook cheese in Tillamook Oregon makes the best cheese in these parts. With Bandon cheese a close second. You can find these cheese's in most all grocery stores in Oregon and Washington.
